How Zoetis digitalized calibration processes in pharmaceutical manufacturing with Beamex

At the Zoetis Rathdrum site in Ireland, the company manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients for animal health products. Because regulatory compliance is essential in pharmaceutical manufacturing, Zoetis needed a reliable, digital, and audit-ready calibration management system.

Zoetis chose Beamex MC6, MC6-Ex calibrators, and CMX Calibration Management Software. These solutions became the foundation of a fully digital, paperless calibration ecosystem.

Previously, technicians relied on paper records, manual error calculations, and physical document archiving. This was time-consuming and increased the risk of errors. With Beamex, calibration tasks are transferred from CMX to the MC6, results are documented digitally, errors are calculated automatically, and the data is uploaded back into the CMX database.

The Zoetis Rathdrum team currently uses six MC6 and three MC6-Ex calibrators, while the CMX database contains around 2,500 active positions. Depending on the month, the team can perform up to 100–150 calibrations per week.
